How it all started

Who am I? At the core of who I am, there is some one who is happy. I love people, I am easily excitable. I enjoy life but most of all I love God. I grew up in a Seventh Day Adventist home which helped shaped my beliefs. My mother was committed to what we believed in a way that I never understood as a child but I am growing to understand and appreciate now that I am older. When I was much younger, I enjoyed writing. I wrote stories and letters and anything that came to mind. Later on when I improved my spiritual life, I saw it as a way to communicate with God or even to record my spiritual growth at any given time. For some unknown reason, I stopped. I stopped writing, I stopped reading as much (which I loved to do). But at this point I feel that I did not reflect the desire that once burned in my heart for God and His love for me.

I am making a conscious journey to get back to who I am and where I should be in Christ. I believe in my heart that He is coming soon and that I have a responsibility to share His love with those who cross my path. This won’t always mean a sermon or a Bible study on the spot but it will ALWAYS mean reflecting the love of Christ through my life. However, I cannot reflect this love until I learn it and live it.

It is with that in mind I share with you my journey to “Be the salt of the earth”.
